Gapman® Gen4 - Multi-point and Ultra-Thin Gap Sensing
Capacitec’s Gapman® Gen4 is a high-precision, non-contact, portable, electronic feeler gage, offering even thinner gap measurement applications. It is available in Single Point or Multipoint configurations.
This Gapman® Gen4 has the same compact design featuring high-precision dual capacitive element technologies for position-compensated measurements in gaps as narrow as 0.0043” or 110 Microns. Gapman supports Capacitec’s broad range of standard and custom wands. The Gapman® Gen4 Single Point records and stores data points for easy transfer to SPC, in support of Six Sigma and other quality systems.
The Gapman® Gen4 Multipoint supports up to 8 gap locations and transmits active gaps data via Bluetooth communications.
The Gapman® Gen4 has additional precision features including:
- A bright blue alphanumeric Active Matrix OLED display
- External menu selection buttons for inches/millimeters units
- A calibration button to adjust to the standard of a known gap
- Industry standard USB Type A combination data output and external power port.

Gapman’s user-friendly design is routinely used to effectively measure gaps within a wider range of applications, including aircraft manufacturing and assembly operations, metal and rigid composite surfaces (CFRP), flexible solar panel lamination, slot-die and roller-to-roller coating operations, parallelism control, film production, and any other non-contact gap measurement application characterized by minimal gap tolerances and complex assemblies.
